Volunteer to Help With the Petition to Recall Kent Conrad

If you are a North Dakota resident, over the age of 18,  and wish to sign a petition when it becomes available, or want to help in any way,  please fill out the forms below and let me know what you can do. Right now we need people to be in charge of individual sections of the State and in charge of making sure the process goes smoothly in that area. Other areas also need help so we will be ready to begin the petition process.

What Happened to Kent Conrad?

Where are the budget concerns he had in 2005?

""CONRAD AND SPRATT ATTACK BUSH OVER CBO BUDGET DEFICIT PROJECTIONS"
"Sen. Kent Conrad, D-ND, speaks to members of the press during a news conference regarding the new CBO budget deficit projections, on January 25, 2005. Conrad attacked President Bush's tax cuts and spending in Iraq and Afghanistan for the high increases in the U.S. national deficit...""

Kent Conrad today....Untrustworthy....Unresponsive....Unrepentant

Have you tried contacting this man? Has he returned your calls? Has he listened to anything you had to say?

Whatever his goals and ideals may have once been, they are now far from ours, and getting farther away every day.

This man has overseen the trillion+ dollar expansion of new Government spending, and taken part in wrenching control of Health care from us, and creating a huge new Government entitlement.

According to every  poll taken  in the past year, North Dakotans opposed this crazy health care scheme by 2  to 1!  But he knows better than us.....Right?

His senior Senate position has helped him guide the heinous health care bill through the Senate. We need someone who represents OUR wills in Washington, not his. Through the 'Recall' process, we can remove him from office, as is fully allowed by our North Dakota Constitution.

The recall process is not impossible. It is in fact quite possible and has been done before in North Dakota.

 The American Civil rights Union has been helping our 'Committee to Recall Kent Conrad', and they detail the North Dakota process, and what has been done here by our committee so far, on their web site;

        1921 North Dakota

Some may have heard of Lynn Frazier, who had the distinction of being the first seated Governor ever to have been recalled. Gov. Frazier, was charged with "promoting radical socialism" by the people who petitioned against him and was officially removed from office by concerned North Dakotans. He was RECALLED

                2003 California

Gray Davis was spending
California's money like a drunken sailor, much like Kent Conrad is today. Ignoring the will of the people that put him in office, he scorned the entire recall process, until he was removed by the people, for the good of the people. He was RECALLED

No money needed...just your desire to remove Conrad from office

First, I want you to know the timetable involved. The Committee to Recall Kent Conrad plans on having the recall process started as soon as possible. Our example petition has been submitted and was received by the Secretary of States office, and we await a reply from Mr. Al Jaeger.

If we are not allowed to start the process by the North Dakota Secretary of State, we will then pursue remedies through the Courts and win, as New Jersey recently did. (see link) Once allowed to gather signatures, we will need 78,923 to do the job, and these will need to be submitted by late September,  2010.

At that time, the recall (and a new candidate for Senator Conrad's office) will be placed on the normal 2010 election ballot to be voted on in November. So this CAN be done, and there is not a lot of time to waste!

UPDATE- Our example petition has been submitted to the Secretary of State and we await their acceptance or denial of it. If accepted, we could proceed immediately with the recall effort. If refused, we will need to sue for our rights as they are laid out in the North Dakota Constitution
